本 App 帮助在海外生活的成年人练习英语听说：跟读打分、按场景练对话、和 AI 扮演的本地人实战和聊天。没有注册账号，没有广告，没有第三方统计或追踪，不出售任何数据。

2. AI 对话：文字会发给谁

AI 实战和自由聊天需要大模型生成回复。你说的话（识别后的文字）和这一次对话的上下文，会经我们的服务器发给下面的服务商之一：

第一次使用实战或自由聊天前，App 会先说明这些并征得你的同意，同意前不会发送；以后可以在 App 设置里关掉"允许 AI 对话"。发出的只有对话文字和场景说明，不包含录音、姓名、手机号、位置或任何账号信息。请不要在对话里说出身份证号、银行卡号、密码等敏感信息。不想让对话文字发给 AI 服务商，可以不使用"实战"和"自由聊天"，其他功能（看对话、认单词、学说法、跟读、听力）不受影响。

3. 我们使用的服务商

我们自己的服务器位于美国，只运行本 App 的后台服务。以上服务商只处理完成功能所必需的数据。我们不与任何其他人共享数据。

本 App 面向成年人。我们的儿童版是另一个 App「Bula School」，有单独的隐私政策；儿童版里孩子的声音和文字不会发给任何 AI 模型。

你跟读、实战、聊天时说话的录音	识别成文字，给发音打分	经我们的服务器转发给 Microsoft Azure 语音服务处理。我们的服务器只在内存中转发，不保存录音。
AI 实战和自由聊天的对话文字（你说的话被识别出的文字、对方的回话）	让 AI 扮演的本地人接着对话、判断任务完成没有、给出更自然的说法和点评	经我们的服务器发给 AI 模型服务商生成回复（见第 2 节）。我们的服务器不保存对话内容。
需要朗读的英文句子和单词	生成示范语音	发给 Microsoft Azure 合成语音；生成的语音缓存在我们的服务器上，下次直接播放。这些都是 App 里的固定内容和 AI 的回话，不含你的录音。
学习进度、复习本、发音统计、设置	记录学到哪儿、安排复习	只保存在手机上，删除 App 即删除。
听力模式下载的音频	没网时也能听	只保存在手机的缓存里，系统空间不够时可能被清理。
App 运行日志（识别结果、对话过程、错误信息）	排查问题、改进 App	保存在手机上，最多 2MB。只有你在设置里点"发送反馈"时，才会连同你写的说明发到我们的服务器，上传后手机上的日志即被清空。上传的日志仅用于改进本 App，可应要求删除。
购买记录	判断是否是会员、今天还能对话几次	由 Apple 处理和保存；今天用了几次只记在手机上。我们拿不到你的支付信息，也不在服务器记录购买。

Bula Talk Privacy Policy

Effective: October 19, 2026 · Applies to the iOS app "Bula Talk"

Bula Talk helps adults living abroad practise spoken English: pronunciation scoring, scene-based practice, and AI role-plays and chats with simulated locals. There are no accounts, no ads, no third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell data.

What we process

Your voice when you practise, role-play or chat is relayed through our server to Microsoft Azure for speech recognition and pronunciation scoring. Our server relays it in memory only and never stores recordings.
Conversation text in AI role-plays and free chat (the recognised text of what you said, and the replies) is sent through our server to an AI model provider to generate replies, judge the task and give feedback. Our server does not store conversations.
English sentences to be read aloud are sent to Microsoft Azure to generate audio, which is cached on our server. They are app content and AI replies, not your recordings.
Progress, review list, pronunciation stats, settings and downloaded listening audio stay on your device.
Diagnostic logs stay on the device (max 2 MB) and are uploaded only when you tap "Send feedback" in Settings, together with your note; the local copy is then cleared. Uploaded logs are used only to improve the app and are deleted on request.
Purchases are handled by Apple. The daily conversation count is kept on your device. We do not receive payment details.

AI providers

Conversation text goes to Anthropic (Claude) by default (privacy policy), or to DeepSeek only as a backup when Claude is unavailable; DeepSeek's servers are in China (privacy policy). The app asks for your consent before the first AI conversation and sends nothing until you agree; you can turn it off in Settings ("允许 AI 对话"). Only the conversation text and the scene description are sent: no recordings, names, phone numbers, location or account details. Please don't say sensitive information such as ID or card numbers or passwords. If you prefer not to send conversation text to AI providers, simply don't use the role-play and chat features; everything else works without them.

Other providers

Apple (in-app purchases), Microsoft Azure (speech recognition, pronunciation assessment, text-to-speech), Cloudflare (network delivery). Our own server is in the United States and runs only this app's backend. We share data with no one else.

Audience

Bula Talk is for adults. Our children's app, "Bula School", has its own privacy policy, and children's voices and text there are never sent to any AI model.

Your choices

Deleting the app deletes all data on the device. You can turn off microphone access in iPhone Settings at any time. To delete logs you uploaded or ask anything about this policy, email [email protected]; we respond within 30 days.
